Moving to Sedona

Hi all!

I'm planning to move to Sedona later this month, and I was hoping to find some more info about the area from locals - not tourists sites.

Does anyone know of a reasonably priced studio apartment for rent?
Also, is the town fairly walkable/bikeable?

I've been consistently drawn to Sedona over the past few months, and it's time for me to answer that call. I'm a raw chef, nutritionist, fitness trainer & raw lifestyle coach.
Can anyone tell me if there is much of an interest in raw veganism in Sedona? I would assume so, as diet and nutrition is such an integral part of spiritual growth, but in searching I have only found mention of one raw restaurant...

Thanks so much for your community and support!
Love & light,
Jen

    Hey Jen... welcome!

Sedona is not too walkable. There's uptown which is walkable but super touristy, then there is west sedona which is less touristy but spread out and not very walkable (although there are sidewalks).

I think there is a fair amount of interest in raw food here... there's a cafe with raw food and a restaurant... there might be other places that have a raw food dishes on the menu but non-raw food as well. In the greater Sedona area there are more (Cottonwood, Clarkdale, Jerome, and of course Flagstaff).

Sedona is sort of clash of 3 main groups of people... tourists, retirees, and new age/hippy-ish types. It's an odd town in some ways but you'll definitely have a blast here!

A friend of mine recently called it "a mix of John McCain types, and people waiting for the UFOs to come." :)
